Is It Worth the $5?

Today I had the privilege of waking up at a relatively normal time, laying in bed and coming to the realization that I was in fact late for work. What surprised me was the fact that not only did I wake up late, either due to the lack of hearing my phone alarm, or perhaps setting the audio wrong, but simply the fact that I casually lay there until it dawned on me.

Without hesitation, I rushed to get ready, neglecting my breakfast and not making a lunch. In such a short span of time, I had to get myself ready and out the door. As noon approached I obviously began to feel my stomach turning and begging for food. Breakfast was covered by a can of Red Bull and a Mr Big chocolate bar. Lunch was taken care of by an unsatisfying “panini” sandwich purchased from my companies cafe, but supper was followed by a delicious Subway Italian B.M.T. Before you ask, I do not know what the “B.M.T” stands for.

Although initially hesitant to purchase anything, (I’m trying this new thing called “saving”), I finally decided to go ahead and try something new. The classic cold cut sub just wasn’t doing it anymore, and I really wasn’t in the mood to go with something that I normally do. It’s always best to be safe then sorry, but trying new things also leads to experiencing more. So I indulged in a new sandwich.

Verdict … delicious! The flat bread was something I wasn’t too sure about but turns out that when warmed, it hit the right spot. Topics, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, pickles and a southwestern sauce which gave the sandwich the right kick to it. Despite having a more miniature size to it, it did what it was suppose to, eliminate my hunger while not overfilling me.

I would recommend anyone that is looking to try something different to go ahead and take the plunge. Although it is only available in a 6 inch, it satisfies none the less.
